Companies House fees today

What Companies House charges, as of today.

The government fees behind every UK company, kept current. These go to Companies House, not to us: on every Vaulex Group plan they are shown as their own line and passed through without a penny added.

Correct as of 4 September 2026. Fees last changed on 1 February 2026. We re-check this page whenever Companies House publishes a change.

Forming a company

The fee doubled on 1 February 2026. Any page still quoting £50 is out of date.

Incorporation – digital£100£50Included as a separate line in every Vaulex Group formation plan.
Incorporation – same-day, digital£156£78The £100 fee plus a £56 same-day supplement. Software-only – you cannot buy this direct from Companies House, it has to go through an agent’s filing software. Ours is £99 on top, for prioritised checks and the filing.
Incorporation – paper£124£71We file digitally; you will not pay this with us.

Keeping it running

Every company files a confirmation statement each year, even a dormant one.

Voluntary strike-off (DS01) – digital£13£33One of the few fees that went down.

Identity verification

Mandatory for directors and people with significant control since 18 November 2025.

Verification is included in every Vaulex Group formation plan; our standalone and International services are for people the free route does not serve well, priced for the expert time they take.

Three things worth knowing

We never mark a government fee up.

Whatever Companies House charges appears at checkout as its own line at exactly that figure. Our service fee is a separate line. If the two are ever blended into one “from £X” number, somebody is hiding something.

Same-day cannot be bought direct.

The same-day service only exists through filing software, which is why it is sold by agents. With us it is £99 for the prioritised identity and anti-money-laundering checks and the filing, plus the £156 that goes to Companies House – order by 12pm (midday).

Old prices are everywhere.

Seven months on from the change, plenty of live pages still quote £50. If a price you have been given adds up on a £50 fee, the total is wrong.
